Coffee is basically a natural product that has many health benefits. It's just that adding sugar to it, can actually cause a shift in nutritional content. Especially if the levels of artificial sweeteners exceed the recommended threshold.
According to the American Heart Association (AHA), the amount of safe additional sugar intake is 9 teaspoons (36 grams or 150 calories equivalent) per day for men and 6 teaspoons (25 grams or 100 calories equivalent) per day for women. Consumption of excess sugar will increase your risk of diseases such as type 2 of diabetes.
In Indonesia, black coffee is known as a drink that can increase energy levels so that it will eliminate sleepiness while making you excited about doing activities. However, studies reveal that black coffee has more benefits than that.
Coffee is also rich in antioxidants which play a very important role for health. Black coffee also contains essential nutrients, such as chromium, potassium, niacin, vitamin E, and magnesium. Of course, black coffee contains caffeine which apparently also has properties for the body.
